The Tin House Summer Writers Workshop is going on this week at Reed College. There are seminars and readings open to everyone, every day, and we'll try and post each day's events here, though you can also consult a schedule at the Tin House site.Seminars cost $15 and are held in the Vollum Lecture Hall at Reed. Today's seminars:
2 p.m.: The Agent Game
Panelists and New York literary agents Sarah Burnes, Emilie Stewart, Judy Heiblum, and Amy Hughes will talk about what writers should know before seeking representation.
3 p.m.: The Artful Edit
Panelists: Judy Clain, Sarah Burnes, Charles D'Ambrosio, and Abigail Thomas. Moderator: Susan Bell. The panel will "explore what editing means and how it is best practiced--with others and alone. We will debate the risks, demands, and pleaasures of editing an author, of being edited, and of editing oneself."
Readings are at 8 p.m. each evening, cost $5, and are held in the Cerf Amphitheater at Reed. Tonight's reading:
