Beckett reader sought for St. Pat's

Youngish Tom, the co-owner of downtown hotspot Voleur, wants somebody to read Samuel Beckett's "First Love" on March 17 at his restaurant. Considering the place's usual patron population of pimps, police, and poets, his St. Patrick's plan may actually make sense.

Youngish Tom Pancake (ne Johnson) co-founded Kilometer Zero along with some pals at Paris' Shakespeare & Co., authored a memoir/novella (which bears remarkable similarities to the author's own life, except that Tom claims he did not actually do some of the illegal things that the novella's protagonist does) called Arson Isn't Perfect, and plays a mean game of cribbage.
